MUSEUM STATUS / PRIVACY
Privacy Notice
This notice describes the current application’s behavior in plain language.
Search and browser storage
The current Search dialog and Museums directory match names, cities and countries against the loaded attraction inventory in your browser. Search terms and selected cities are held in temporary page state; these controls do not send search terms to a search service or save them in local or session storage.
The production site offers optional Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage and performance. Google Analytics scripts and analytics cookies are enabled only after you explicitly accept analytics. Declining keeps Google Analytics unloaded. Google is the analytics provider; this integration does not enable advertising tags, Google Signals or advertising personalization.
Analytics preference
A first-party localStorage entry named museum-status.analytics-consent.v1 remembers only accepted or declined. It contains no personal information. If browser storage is unavailable, the choice applies to the current page only.
Use Analytics settings in the footer to change or withdraw your choice. Withdrawal disables this integration, removes its accessible first-party Analytics cookies and reloads the page to stop the loaded Google code. It cannot undo information already sent while consent was granted.
Page-view events use page paths without query strings or fragments; search terms are not sent by this integration. After acceptance, Google Analytics may process browser and device information and use first-party analytics cookies. This notice does not specify unverified retention periods or account settings.
Requests and operational information
Loading pages and visitor information makes requests to the application’s server. That server reads attraction information from its data service. Selecting a ticket date can place that date in the page URL.
Public API requests produce operational logs such as a generated request identifier, route category, response status and duration. The application’s API logger does not include raw query strings, request headers or raw database errors in those log records.
If trusted client-address rate limiting is configured, the API uses a hashed client network address in temporary server memory to limit request volume. Hosting and network providers may separately process request information. Their settings and retention periods are not specified here.
External links
Booking and source links may take you to external websites. Following them sends you to that provider, whose privacy practices apply there. Museum Status does not collect payment details or perform a booking through these links.
Forms and privacy contact
There is currently no account-registration or contact-submission interface on the public site. No public privacy contact channel has been published. Check the Contact page for its availability.
No claim about data-retention periods, company identity or a jurisdiction is made in this notice where those details have not been established.
